great pics and sentiments, adrienne. made me wish we were there to celebrate with you guys. but we were so happy to be home, too. (saw caleb's mom and cam and jill at the waxhaw parade...) it sometimes stinks to have two homes that you love...but is such a blessing, too.

It's funny to see a place where I remember being many times! I'm so glad you get to enjoy such talent! :)

I totally understand about it being "summer" break! It's finally cooling off here - mid to upper 70s some days, which is a HUGE deal!!! And yet, every child at HOPAC calls this time off school "summer break." I'm very glad it's not the hot season. It's just funny to see how international culture and phrases - even from kids who grew up in the southern hemisphere - translate to an understanding on all sides. Even when it doesn't technically make sense!!!

Too cute! I love this age where being a helper is the best thing since sliced bread. If Chase starts getting a little frustrating or difficult, I do my best to find any kind of 'chore' for him to do... all the sudden he is refocused and all is well again ;~)

HA! I sew too these days. I'm mostly teaching myself... with a class here and there if I can work it into life. It's pretty rewarding to finish something, hold it up and know that I created it.

I am a little late here but please don't feel bad! I think it's more of a success that you let it go when you knew it wasn't the right time. Imagine trying to push through that and causing more frustration and pain for you both. Kudos to being smart!!!

Just go slow... keep talking about it... work up to it. We even left a potty out in the living room just to look at and get to know.

Follow your instincts and you will both be fine! And don't worry... he won't be going to college in diapers... it will happen eventually ;~)
